Six-killed-in-Jerusalem-bus-stop

Tragic has hit Jerusalem one of the deadliest attacks has hit the city on Monday morning just yesterday, When two unknown Palestinians gunmen opened fire on a bus resulting to six people dying on the spot and eight others injured.

Unfortunately accordingly to the Israeli officials, the unknown assailants drove to Ramot junction , at one of the busiest streets in Israel at the northern edge of Jerusalem, and opened fire on innocent civilians who's waiting for the buses to turn up. And this tragic incident happened at the end of rush hour. Shooting at innocent children and women, as the bullets were fleeing left to right, vehicle and shattered windows all broken .

The officials confirmed that it was a civilian and a off duty soldier who quickly returned fire, as the result of killing the two unknown gunmen right on the scene. So many items were found on the unknown gunmen, such as ammunition, knife and weapons. Officials and eyewitness reports that the unknown gunmen were from the west bank village of Qatanna and Al Qubeiba roughly like 11 kilometers west from the attack site

They identified victims as

Unfortunately, officials announced that the fatalities included one woman and five men. The media in Israel named the victims as:

  • Sarah Mendelson, 60 years old woman
  • Levi Yitzhak Pash
  • Yisrael Metzner, 28
  • Yaakov Pinto, 25
  • Rabbi Yosef David, 43
  • Mordechial Mark Steinsag

And the hospital announced that 2 remain wounded and they're in a critical condition as we speak.

One of the local by the name of Esther lugasi she described how terrifying this experience was for her. Unfortunately I was just doing my regular stuff and I hear a shoot fire suddenly I felt like running for eternity , I thought today was my last day on the earth.

Fortunately a first responder came around just with in a minute , by the name of Daniel Katzenstein , he's from United Hatzalah . He recounted by treating bus driver by the name of Mohammed , at that time Mohammed rushed to help other people . Sadly Katzenstein said unfortunately this not a battle between Islam and Judaism . He said this incident is about people who wish to do harm to other people that wish to live their lives freely and peacefully .

Political leaders Reaction of the incident

Shortly after the incident occurred Israelis Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the tragic scene , he said the country is in a war of terrorism on several fronts. He acknowledged the fact that the Israeli security forces had stopped so many attacks in the west bank this year. The prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said that Israel security will pursue everyone who had their hands or take part in the attack against the Israeli people , he said a stronger measure would take place in the days to come.

Currently the Israeli military have confirmed that soldiers have sealed the nearby village of Ramallah in the west bank to prevent any other attacks and to strengthen the security

The president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, said he condemned this tragic incident, and calling it , cold blooded murderers of peaceful citizens in Israel. And they're absolutely evil . He's calling on International community to recognize this incident that Israel is facing.

International Condemnations

The attack drew attention to international response, United Kingdom, new foreign Secretary , Yvette Cooper said she was horrified by the tragic incident. And the French President Emmanuel Macron issued a strong condemnation.

Sadly the Palestinians presidency announced through their Wafa officials news agency, saying they have no idea of any attacks on the citizens of Israel or any attacks on civilians , weather Palestinians or Israeli despite their current situation all forms of violence and terrorism they have nothing to do with the attack yesterday.

Sadly Hamas have rewarded the shooting describing it as a heroic and exceptional operation that took place , By the true Palestinians children. Unfortunately the group that carried on this attack Hamas see it as a responsibility and a birth right of every Palestinians citizens , they said it's a natural response after all Israeli is killing their people in the Gaza strip . It a crime and genocide against the Palestinians people.

A Wider View

This incident during the current Genocide that Israel has unleashed on Gaza . Israel and Gaza have been fighting since the assault on southern Israel that happened in October 7 2023 that triggered the devastating military campaign in Gaza . Unfortunately this fighting been going on since 2 years ago with Israeli's forces intensifying operations in the city of Gaza.

Meanwhile attack in Jerusalem have been less during this period , but not unexpected or unprecedented . In the west of Jerusalem three Israeli men kill two Palestinians gunmen at a bus stop on November 2023, and Hamas claimed responsibility of the attack.

Currently this recent attack that happened on Monday Hamas and Israel are considering a ceasefire and a hostage exchange proposal . This was made possible by the help of the white house . Hopefully the shooting shouldn't escalate further and this negotiations is very potential and goanna be very helpful to both parties.

The entire community is in shock

Unfortunately as residents of Jerusalem are mourning, a scene from a dashcam is widely showing crowds running from the gunfire. For many people this attack will reinforce violence and fear and this could spread from the west bank into Israel

Anthropic to Pay $1.5 Billion in Landmark Settlement Over Pirated Books Used to Train AI

Anthropic to Pay $1.5 Billion in Landmark Settlement Over Pirated Books Used to Train AI

One of the top Artificial intelligence companies, by the name of Anthropic has agreed to pay a some of $ 1.5 billion just to settle a copyright lawsuit that was brought by a group of authors who accused the firm of stealing their work to train their AI system.

The deal is still ongoing approval from the US District judge. And this is the largest publicly reported copyright case in history said by judge William Alsup . And if this deal is successful it'll mark as a turning point of legal battle over how Artificial intelligence companies use creative works to build their model.

The background of the lawsuit

Unfortunately the lawsuit case was filed by a group of best sellers authors Last year.

They're

  • Kirk Wallace Johnson, author of the Feather Thief
  • Charles Graeber, author of the Good Nurse.
  • Andrea Bartz , author of we were never here.

accuse Anthropic of using millions of pirated book to train their claude AI chatbots . While building a multi billion platform without any compensation to the real creators.

The ruling from judge Alsup shaped the entire case. Unfortunately for Anthropic, in June judge Alsup acknowledged that the library of Anthropic contains over more than seven million pirated book , and the company could face damages up to $150,000 per infringed work.

He also found out that the book was very profitable to Anthropic and it was exceedingly transformative. This means that the act of training large language models on a existing work could be considered very legal under the US to copyright law. Meanwhile despite all of this he still allow the trial to continue, pressuring Anthropic to face questions about their training data .

The settlement.

Last Friday, Anthropic said they would resolve the plaintiffs remaining legacy claims. The lawyer of the authors Justin Nelson hailed a deal saying it's the first of it's kind in the era of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

And this will provide a meaningful compensation for each and everyone's work. And make sure that every AI companies pay every copyright owner. This is not just any words but a powerful statement to all Artificial intelligence companies and to others creators around the world, that copyrighted works from pirate websites is totally wrong.

This settlement has open a door for everyone out there and they had scheduled in December for a trial to ensure every compensation be made effectively for the writers

Big Tech and wider Implications

This deal is not just any other deals , but it carries weight way beyond Anthropic. Unfortunately other leading AI developers out there including OPEN AI CHATGBT, MICROSOFT AND META, they're all facing some kind of lawsuits alleging copyright violations tied to their use of article, book and other creative works .

Unfortunately Anthropic that is backed by both GOOGLE-PARENT ALPHABET and AMAZON, is one of the more ethical Artificial intelligence players in the game . Their cloud chatbots was marketed as one of the safest and transparent alternatives to competitors

Aparna Sridhar the deputy general counsel announced and emphasized that the company's commitment to a responsible AI development.

We remain committed to developing a better and safer Artificial intelligence system that will help organizations and people expand their capabilities advance scientific discovery, and solve complex problems.

What it means for Creators out there.

This is huge opportunity for authors and creators to reshape how Artificial intelligence companies approach copyright law.

According to Alex Yang professor of Management Sciences and operations at the university of business school in London, the case highlights the importance of collaboration between technology developers, and creators.

Yang explained that you need all fresh training data from human beings. He also said if you want to grant any copyright to any Artificial intelligence created content you must first strengthen mechanisms that will compensate all humans for their original contributions.

With such deal creators will gain leverage to negotiate with any Artificial intelligence companies, potential leading to a new license, where all author's and publishers are paid fairly when any AI uses their work.

A Precedent for the Artificial intelligence Era

This is a great milestone for creators publishers and developer in the legal and ethical debates surrounding Artificial intelligence. In the was the companies and courts are beginning to understand how to balance technological innovation with intellectual property rights .

Unfortunately as the lawsuit of other AI giants continues, Anthropic $1.5 billion settlement will serve as a template for future resolutions making sure that creators and publishers are compensated, while AI companies gain clearer rules for training their model.

Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea Exile: £30m Contract Stalemate Leaves Star in Limbo

Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea Exile: £30m Contract Stalemate Leaves Star in Limbo

Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea Exile: £30m Contract Stalemate Leaves Star in Limbo

Few year back Raheem Sterling was one of England's celebrated and biggest stars , he spearheaded his team to the Euro 2020 final . But currently today the 30 years old winger finds himself isolated at Chelsea with a 30 million euros left on his lucrative contract and on clear path back to the senior football team.

From Great signing to Exile

In 2022 when Chelsea signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester city, it was like a statement of ambition from the club's new owners . MAN City gave Raheem Sterling a deal worth 50 million euros. That go for five years on a wages of 325,000 per week . AT that time it was Thomas Tuchel the manger for Man City and the interim was Todd Boehly , they welcome him at the Stamford bridge.

But unfortunately so much has changed at the club since his high profile unveiling. But later Thomas Tuchel departed followed by Frank Lampard , Graham Potter and then Mauricio Pochettino. Raheem Sterling started heavily across his first two seasons at the club , making it 19 GOALS and 81 appearances . But still the mighty Blues struggled in the league finishing at 12 place in his debut campaign , and they sadly came sixth place the following year.

Finally a new head Coach arrived, Enzo Maresca , and unfortunately he effectively ended Raheem Sterling role in the squad . Despite Raheem Sterling skill experience pace or pedigree, he was left out of the squad , and the manager shipped him off on a loan to Arsenal last season. It was a move that proved to be better for both the Club and players.

Sterling 30 Millions Roadblocks

The current Exile of Raheem Sterling lies his hefty contract , with just two years remaining the mighty blues face a huge dilemma. Is either the pay his 30 millions in wages , or they have to keep him at the club until they find a solution for him . Now Raheem Sterling have a little incentive to walk away from such a huge amount.

But unfortunately this dilemma left Raheem Sterling with what the Chelsea fans call a Bomb squad . They're a small group of guys who's training away from the main senior squad . It's a cry from glamour of England heroics and champions league night, and it's a tragic story of how quickly fortune can change in the game of football.

While there's no transfer up to now

Many fans around the world have wonder why Raheem Sterling with such qualities and skills have not secured a permanent contract or a some kind of big deal . The question is left unanswered and very complicated. Chelsea have explore so many options during the summer transfer window, Chelsea has talks to so many teams for a opportunity for him , teams like Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen even their London rivals such as Fulham Crystal palace and West Ham , but still nothing every happen .

Turns out Raheem Sterling have a kid who's on Arsenal academy and he prefers to stay close to London , he also turn down deals from Saudia Arabia despite the financial incentives prioritizing family stability and happiness over any money.

On the other hand Arsenal had little interest in making his loan permanent after a season of limited appearances at the club under coach Mikel Arteta. This left Chelsea and Raheem Sterling with no immediate resolutions.

A Stalemate that helps nobody

So currently Raheem Sterling have no choice but to continues to train professionally and he's waiting for clarity. And the mighty blues have no choice but to respect his desire to remain close to home, but his high wages remain a realistic issue. Chelsea is reluctant to him a severance package , he's unwilling to sacrifice millions of his own.

What’s the next Move for Raheem

Unless they come up with a agreement with in the contract Raheem Sterling will not be able to feature in a competitive football until the transfer window is open in January . At that time he will have a lot of opportunities , but also the challenge is balancing his family priorities, financial issues and his ambition for the game remains the same .

For such a player who was once a great and influential attacker on England's national team , but unfortunately the current Exile at Chelsea is a dramatic fall from grace . Weather he reunites his career or the 30 million contract becomes a obstacle of his twilight years it still remains the same .

However some of the recent setbacks such as Niger's they withdraw their troops from the multinational joint task force, have left Nigeria with regional partners in the fight.

We know that Ebola were originated from bats, monkeys, fruits etc. Ebola was first identified in 1976 near the Ebola river in Congo. it spreads through direct contact with the blood or fluid of an infected person that leads to severe illness / The Ebola outbreaks in DRC Congo often highlight the broader challenges facing the country’s healthcare system. DRC Congo has been in conflict for decades now and limited infrastructure have left hospitals under equipped and health workers overstretched.

In the top cities like Kasai where the outbreak has emerged, many communities have Less access to advanced medical care. This makes it so difficult to identify cases quickly, isolate patients and prevent a large spread of the virus. Beyond Congo immediate health risk, Ebola has a devastating economic and social impact. Families that lose their love ones to Ebola often left with stigmatized, and those that survive from Ebola sometimes face rejection in their homes and communities due to fear and misinformation about the disease. Place of worship, markets , and schools may be disrupted as people try to avoid gatherings further straining already vulnerable communities.

Doctors and authorities are advising people to seek immediate medical attention if they see any signs or symptoms of the virus and they should avoid physical contact with sick folks.

They should also report any suspected cases in their area or large. Awareness and education play a major role in stopping the virus and stopping misinformation which often sometimes spreads faster than the virus itself. The current outbreak in DRC Congo is still developing and experts says that early detection and good coordination can also help to stop the virus. They said the previous outbreak of the virus, that combined with improved vaccine and a stronger community engagement can help to reduce the a large scale of the disease and help to save many live .
